Joel Compass continues to be both musically and visually astonishing: after Back To Me and it’s jaw-dropping urban witch-themed video, he released the more up-beat Fucked Up which now has an equally stunning video. The video tells the story of the song, in which Joel cheats on his girlfriend and regrets it after waking up with his fling of the night, chronologically but kind of not.
NEW LOIS & THE LOVE VIDEO
The new video for Lois & The Love’s aptly-titled new single, Dark Serenade, an enjoyably brooding tune which sits somewhere in the musical gap between PJ Harvey and Lana Del Rey. CS
Ellen and The Escapades have released their brand new video for new single ‘Without You’ that came out this week. They play The Wilmington Arms tonight, along with a handful of other dates over the coming week.
China Rats’ new video for ‘(At Least Those) Kids Are getting Fed’ has now been unleashed on to the public.
Released on the 8th October through Once Upon A Time Records.
I went to see Chapel Club last night at Birthdays in Dalston. Apart from the horrific people we were stood next to, it was great. I wasn’t sure if their new material would fit against their previous stuff, but it worked really well. They ended with this amazing track called Good Together.
Check out this amazing acoustic version that Jagga did of his new single ‘Love Song’ for RWD Mag.
The video for Twin Shadow’s ‘Five Seconds’ is actually amazing.
Last wednesday, Leeds-band China Rats headed over to Benicassim to play the Villacamp stage the night before the festival officially started. Little did they know that the next night, they would be playing in front of thousands and thousands of people when Bat For Lashes was forced to cancel her appearance. A terrifying prospect for most bands in their infancy, but China Rats stepped up and delivered.
One of the festival’s bookers happened to be in the crowd when the band played in the campsite, he loved what he saw on stage and witnessed a mosh-pitting crowd going mental to the band’s short, sharp punk-tinged pop songs. When Bat For Lashes’ bus broke down, forcing her to cancel her headline slot on the 2nd stage on the Thursday night, the booker asked China Rats if they fancied filling in.
For a band that formed less than a year ago, the four-piece have already started making waves. Their debut EP was released in April, followed by a great performance at Live at Leeds and a week on the Radio One Introducing playlist with their frenetic and catchy track N.O.M.O.N.E.Y.
They’ve been busy in the studio recording their next single which is due to be released in September, but in the meantime, they’re giving away ‘Fly Solo’ which has been a much loved track in their live set for a while now.
This is the first track to be taken from @Kodaline’s debut EP. It’s called Lose Your Mind, and it’s pretty special.
Err, why did I not know that this ever happened?!
Yippee! I’m going to see The Bronze Medal this evening!
@GoodDangers have smashed it on the video front. This is for their new single DFYF, out now!
The new video for Man Made by Clock Opera. It’s the first time I’ve heard the album version of this. It’s so much clearer with a lot more going on.
